History and Philosophy

History Mount Assisi Academy Preschool began its program in September 1980 with two half-day sessions per week. The program has since expanded to four sessions and operates five days a week. The preschool is conducted by the School Sisters of Saint Francis with the help of dedicated lay teachers and aides. Philosophy Mount Assisi Academy Preschool, a sponsored ministry of the School Sisters of Saint Francis, provides a kindergarten-readiness program for children three to five years of age, promoting Christian values based on Catholic philosophy and Franciscan ideals.
